One of the biggest upcoming MCU releases is most certainly ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ The movie marks several big things. It’s Deadpool’s first foray into the MCU and also the only MCU movie to be released in 2024, in the hopes of restoring at least some of the faith that the fans of the franchise lost in the last several years due to a string of several poorly received movies.

The movie is generating buzz by selling tickets well ahead of its release, defying typical blockbuster conventions. As a part of the marketing campaign related to tickets, new footage reveals a hidden QR code in the trailer, leading to a humorous disclaimer from Reynolds about the film.

We’re very excited to be joining you July 26. Many of you are very excited. But we should set the table correctly. This film is as paper thin as a sequel to Battlefield Earth. We’re mostly going to beat each other senseless, make enemies with Disney, tell a few dick jokes, make a few jokes at my expense, make a lot of jokes at Hugh’s expense, and completely sidestep Marvel’s mandated after-credits sequence, which if you haven’t figured it out yet, is always just a commercial for another movie which will invariably end with a commercial for another movie. So sit back, relax, let us lower your IQ and raise your heart rate while we travel to a vapid Dreamland, a place where grown men and grown women walk around in tights, and act like it’s not a giant cultural cry for help. This is CINEMA.

As you can hear (or read) Reynolds correctly identifies the problem with post-credits scenes in the MCU and completely nails how awkward sometimes it is to finish a movie with a commercial for a different movie, being wrapped in a humorous reference.

The QR code in the trailer leads to a behind-the-scenes clip with Ryan Reynolds, confirming that “Deadpool & Wolverine” won’t include a post-credits scene. However, another official video excludes this confirmation and any mention of post-credits scenes altogether. So we’re not sure where to stand exactly.

Only a few months ago, industry insiders kept insanely hyping up the movie’s post-credit scene. Only a few days after the trailer was released, one leaker and scooper posted something interesting about the movie’s post-credits scene, how it’s going to be “mind-blowing” and how it’s incredible that the studio managed to pull this off without anyone knowing about it.

The creator of Deadpool once again chimed in, confirming this “scoop,” than Cosmic Circus’ Alex Perez also chimed in, saying how everyone in the trades and scoops is just waiting for the other shoe to drop so they can keep talking about it freely online.
