Marvel’s ‘Secret Invasion’: New Official Images & Emilia Clarke’s Role Revealed
Ever since the Multiverse Saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe started, we have already gotten used to Marvel Studios and Disney giving us brand-new MCU content almost every month, thanks to Disney+ shows that have been included in the canon. However, the first quarter of the year is almost finished, and we still didn’t get a new MCU series on Disney+ since She-Hulk, which aired last summer. It was expected that the next series, Secret Invasion, would kick off in early 2023, but we will need to wait until June.
While we’re waiting, Vanity Fair released exclusive new stills from the series, which also gives us first looks at some new characters. Emilia Clarke, one of the MCU newcomers in this series, has been confirmed to star as G’iah, Talos’ daughter.

Secret Invasion is a follow-up to Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home. After Talos and his wife Soren shapeshifted into Nick Fury and Maria Hill to accompany Spider-Man in his adventure against Mysterio, it was revealed that the real Nick Fury was on some sort of galactic vacation all along after he attended Tony Stark’s funeral.
The series will see the return of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, and Don Cheadle as James “Rhodey” Rhodes/War Machine. New names that will join the MCU in this series are Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emilia Clarke, and Olivia Colman. Emilia Clarke has been confirmed to star as G’iah, Talos’ daughter.
Secret Invasion was originally set to premiere in early 2023. Still, Marvel Studios is reportedly reconsidering their schedule of TV shows because of the growing superhero fatigue that some fans have been experiencing ever since the Multiverse Saga kicked off. Since it started in January 2021, we have watched eight movies, seven live-action series, and one animated series. Out of these shows, one live-action and the animated show are already set to return for the second season by the end of this year.
Created by Kyle Bradstreet, Marvel’s Secret Invasion will premiere on Disney+ this June, and it will consist of six episodes. Samuel L. Jackson is also set to reprise the role in The Marvels movie in November.
