Shane Gillis' 'Tires' Just Landed a Season 4 Renewal at Netflix

Shane Gillis has built one of the more unconventional career arcs in modern comedy, turning a scrappy self-financed sitcom into one of Netflix’s steadiest workplace comedies. What began as a single pilot uploaded to YouTube in 2019 has since grown into a legitimate streaming hit, and the show just proved it still has plenty of gas left in the tank.

‘Tires‘ follows the chaotic staff of Valley Forge Automotive Center, an auto repair shop where nervous manager Will spends every episode trying to keep the business afloat while his cousin Shane makes every problem exponentially worse. Gillis, John McKeever and Steve Gerben financed and produced the first six-episode season independently in Pennsylvania before Netflix picked the series up for distribution in 2024, eventually taking over funding for future seasons as well.

That gamble has clearly paid off. Netflix has renewed ‘Tires’ for a fourth season just a few weeks after Season 3 premiered on the platform, giving the show its earliest post-premiere renewal yet in the series’ run so far.

Tracey Pakosta, Netflix’s vice president of U.S. comedy, credited the show’s consistency for the quick turnaround. “‘Tires’ continues to deliver the unapologetic comedy and authentic point of view Shane, John and Steve’s fans know and love, and Season 3 hitting its highest-ever Top 10 ranking proves this fandom just keeps growing,” she said, according to Variety, adding that the streamer is eager to see what’s next for the Valley Forge crew.

That Top 10 milestone isn’t just a talking point. Season 3 reached its highest position yet on Netflix’s Top 10 English TV list, marking a clear jump in visibility for a show that started out as a low-budget passion project with modest ambitions. Gillis and McKeever both kept their own renewal reactions characteristically brief, with Gillis simply saying it’s cool to get to make another season, while McKeever expressed genuine excitement about continuing to work with the team behind it.

The show’s cast has remained largely consistent since its 2024 debut, with Gillis and Gerben anchoring the series alongside Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, Stavros Halkias and Thomas Haden Church. Over its run, ‘Tires’ has also pulled in a rotating list of recognizable guest stars, including Andrew Schulz, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Billy Magnussen, Bobby Lee, Dan Soder and Garret Dillahunt, among several others.

Season 3 pushed the show’s storylines into somewhat higher-stakes territory, with Valley Forge struggling financially and Will and Shane scrambling through increasingly desperate schemes to keep the shop running. A pregnancy storyline introduced late in the season also opened the door for Shane’s character to face some unexpected personal growth heading into whatever comes next, a shift that could meaningfully reshape the dynamic between him and Will once Season 4 gets underway.

With no premiere date confirmed yet for the new season, fans will likely be watching for updates as production details start to trickle out. Given how quickly this renewal came together after Season 3’s release, though, ‘Tires’ doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
