Marriagetoxin has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ since April 2022, and as of August, it has 14 volumes. Viz Media holds the rights for English releases. The anime adaptation will see the return of the core creative team, with Motonobu Hori directing, Kimiko Ueno handling scripts, Kohei Tokuoka as chief animation director, and music composed by Taisei Iwasaki and Yuma Yamaguchi.
The central characters will be voiced by Haruki Ishiya as Hikaru Gero and Shion Wakayama as Mei Kinosaki.

The story follows Hikaru Gero, heir to the Gero family of Poison Masters, a group feared for their deadly skills. Hikaru has lived his life in the shadows, far from love or marriage. But when his family demands that his sister bear an heir to continue the bloodline—by any means necessary, Hikaru is determined to protect her. The anime promises to explore this dangerous world in vivid detail.
The trailer shows the intense, high-stakes action that fans of the manga have come to love, along with some of the new characters joining the story. Bones Film is known for its work on series like My Hero Academia: Vigilantes and Gachiakuta, so expectations for Marriagetoxin’s animation and storytelling are high.
