With ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ standing as the only film ahead of it to reach $900 million domestically, and doing so at a considerably slower pace, ‘Brand New Day’ has firmly established itself as one of the most dominant theatrical runs of the modern blockbuster era. Whether the film can eventually challenge ‘The Force Awakens’ $936.6 million all-time domestic record remains one of the most closely watched storylines in box office tracking right now.

Globally, the film has already crossed $2 billion, ranking among the fastest films ever to reach that threshold, and continues adding to a worldwide total that shows little sign of slowing as it heads deeper into September.
