Marvel has built an entire tradition around its post-credits scenes, turning them into some of the most anticipated moments of any given release. With ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ just days away from hitting theaters, that tradition is once again at the center of fan speculation.

This time, though, the mystery might already be solved. Grainy footage claiming to show the film’s stinger has been circulating online, and it appears to line up with rumors that have been building for weeks.

Tom Holland Is Reportedly Giving His Best Spider-Man Performance Yet in ‘Brand New Day,’ According to First Reactions

According to leaks that first surfaced online, the scene centers on Ned Leeds and his Spidey Tracker device, which was originally introduced in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ to keep tabs on Peter Parker whenever he hops between universes. Multiple leakers have pointed to the same basic beat, describing a moment where Ned checks the tracker only to discover that Spider-Man is no longer on Earth.

That detail has taken on extra weight given the timing. ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ reportedly features only a single post-credits scene rather than the usual two, and according to one trusted leaker, that scene is designed specifically to set up ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Every previous MCU Spider-Man film has included two separate stingers, making this reported change notable on its own.

Where exactly Spider-Man ends up remains murky, and the leaks themselves don’t fully agree. The Cosmic Circus’ Alex Perez has offered additional insight, suggesting the scene shows Peter Parker so far from Earth that he could plausibly be in another universe entirely, though Perez notes he isn’t aboard the Fantastic Four’s ship.

That distinction matters because it shifts the theory away from ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and toward something bigger down the line. Perez has suggested the scene may actually be setting up Peter’s role in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ rather than the more immediate Doomsday storyline, with Tom Holland reportedly not currently expected to appear in the latter film.

Fans online have connected their own dots as well, with theories pointing toward Battleworld and the long-rumored Incursion storyline that’s expected to play a major role in ‘Secret Wars’. Some have even floated the idea that Peter could end up alongside Deadpool, Wolverine, and a version of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man as part of a resistance storyline, though none of this has been confirmed.

It’s also worth noting that leaks like this tend to snowball once the first details go public, with new “confirmations” popping up faster than they can be verified. Whether the space-set stinger is entirely accurate or only partially correct, Marvel and Sony have historically managed to keep their biggest reveals under wraps until the last possible moment, even when smaller details do leak early.

Do you think the leaked Spider-Man: Brand New Day post-credits scene is real?

For now, none of this has been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios or Sony Pictures, and the studios have made no comment on the leaked footage making the rounds. ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ hits theaters on July 31, giving fans very little time left to avoid spoilers if they want to experience the ending completely fresh.
