‘Spider-Man’ Franchise is by far the most lucrative one that Marvel has, so it’s no wonder that the character has several standalone movies as part of the MCU. But there is a massive difference between Spider-Man movies and the rest of the MCU, as not all of Spidey’s projects are on the Disney+ streaming platform, which is well known to be home of the most Marvel-related cinematic projects

On November 3, however, we’re getting one step closer to having all Spider-Man movies on the platform since ‘Far From Home’ is joining the catalog, which leaves only one more movie to be added.

But why wasn’t ‘Far From Home’ on Disney+ in the first place? Distribution rights for movies can be quite complicated. “Spider-Man: Far From Home” is a Sony Pictures film, and as such, it falls under different distribution agreements than films produced by Marvel Studios. While Disney+ has a wide range of Marvel content, including movies and TV shows, some titles may not be available due to existing licensing agreements.

This is something fans are aware of, as only recently some of the Hulk movies have been added to the service, the distribution rights being notably owned by Universal Studios. An agreement that blocked Marvel from featuring Hulk in a standalone project due to being unable to profit from the film’s distribution correctly.

Despite being criticized ‘Far From Home’ was a financial success, claiming the spot of 2019′ fourth-highest-grossing movie and 24th-highest-grossing movie of all time and the first Spider-Man movie to gross over 1 billion in sales.

After the events of “Endgame,” Holland’s Spider-Man is trying to go back to his normal life as a high school student. He goes on a school trip to Europe with his classmates, hoping for a break from superhero duties. However, his plans are disrupted when Nick Fury recruits him to help deal with mysterious elemental creatures that are causing havoc across the continent.

Peter is introduced to Quentin Beck, also known as Mysterio (played by Jake Gyllenhaal), who claims to be from an alternate Earth and is fighting these creatures. Peter teams up with Mysterio to stop the threats, but things are not as they seem.
