Stanley Tucci Teases ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’: “It will incriminate so many people.”

Last summer, Disney confirmed that the much-anticipated sequel to The Devil Wears Prada is officially happening. Meryl Streep will be returning as the iconic Miranda Priestly, but there’s still no word on whether Anne Hathaway will reprise her role as Andy Sachs. Rumors are swirling, but no official details have been released yet.
In a recent interview, Stanley Tucci, who played Nigel in the original film, teased that the sequel is in the works but remained tight-lipped about specifics.
Tucci joked, ‘I cannot answer that question on the grounds that it will incriminate so many people.’ He did add that if it happens, he’d be thrilled to join the project.
Similarly, Emily Blunt, who played Miranda’s assistant Emily, shared a playful comment about the sequel, saying, ‘What sequel? Oh my god, I can’t tell you anything!’ She jokingly mentioned hoping for another round of ‘good eye makeup’ and a stomach flu, referencing her character’s memorable moments from the first film.
As for the plot, it’s been reported that The Devil Wears Prada 2 will focus on Miranda Priestly as her career faces a shift.
She’s no longer the top fashion figure, and now she’s competing against Emily, who has moved on to a high-powered role at an advertising firm. There’s no confirmation yet on Andy’s role, and it’s unclear if Hathaway will return to the storyline.
The original film, released in 2006, continues to have a strong fanbase. Director David Frankel and producer Wendy Finerman, who worked together on the first movie, are set to return for the sequel, which promises to be in capable hands.
