Sydney Sweeney Turns Heads as She Poses Naked With a Snake in ‘Euphoria’ Moment
Sydney Sweeney has sparked a wave of online reactions after a bold new scene in Euphoria Season 3 showed her character Cassie in one of her most extreme moments yet. The scene, which aired in the latest episode of the HBO drama on May 18, quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the season.
Sweeney’s character is seen taking part in a provocative photoshoot where she appears completely nude while a large snake is draped around her body. The scene is framed as part of Cassie’s storyline, where she has fully embraced a controversial public image as an OnlyFans-style personality.
In the episode, Cassie is reportedly guided into the shoot by her former friend Maddy, who now works as her manager. The moment is presented as part of Cassie’s rising online fame, which has become a central part of her storyline in the new season.
The scene also includes appearances from Spanish singer Rosalía and actress Anna Van Patten, who join Cassie in the stylized shoot. Cassie’s look in the scene includes minimal clothing and bold styling choices, while the overall sequence is designed to feel chaotic, dramatic, and highly performative.
This isn’t the first time Cassie’s character has pushed boundaries in Euphoria. In earlier episodes of Season 3, she has been shown in exaggerated costume-like situations, including a baby-themed outfit and even a puppy-inspired persona, both tied to her relationship dynamics and public persona inside the show.
Some viewers have reacted strongly to the direction of the character, especially the way her online persona is being portrayed. Critics online and even some real-life content creators have questioned how accurately the show represents the world of subscription-based adult content, arguing that it leans heavily into exaggeration and fantasy rather than realism.

However, the show’s creator Sam Levinson has defended the creative direction. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he explained the intention behind the surreal tone of these scenes. He said, “What we wanted to always find is the other layer of absurdity that we’re able to tie into it so that we’re not too inside of her fantasy or illusion — the gag is to jump out, to break the wall.”
With Season 3 continuing to push characters into more extreme emotional and visual territory, Cassie’s storyline has become one of the most controversial and widely discussed parts of Euphoria so far.
