Children of Blood and Bone (Franchise)

Children of Blood and Bone is a 2018 young adult fantasy novel by Nigerian-American author Tomi Adeyemi. It follows Zélie Adebola as she tries to bring magic back to the kingdom of Orïsha after it is violently suppressed by the ruling kosidán class. The story draws inspiration from West African mythology, Yoruba culture, and themes of real-world oppression, including racism and police violence in the United States. A film adaptation of the novel is currently in development, directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and produced by Paramount Pictures.
