Ocean’s (Franchise)

The “Ocean’s” franchise is a series of heist films that began with the 1960 Rat Pack movie “Ocean’s 11.” The series gained major popularity with Steven Soderbergh’s remake trilogy from 2001 to 2007, which starred George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon and helped redefine modern heist movies. The trilogy included “Ocean’s Eleven,” “Ocean’s Twelve,” and “Ocean’s Thirteen,” followed by the female-led spin-off “Ocean’s 8” in 2018. The franchise has achieved strong commercial success and remains one of the most recognizable heist movie series.
