‘Terminator 2D: No Fate’ Is Coming To All Major Consoles and PC on September 5
A new video game called Terminator 2D: No Fate is set to bring back the thrill of old-school arcade action with a twist on a classic movie. Developed by Bitmap Bureau and Reef Entertainment, it’s hitting shelves on September 5, 2025.
The game features well-known characters like Sarah Connor, John Connor, and the T-800, straight out of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. You’ll find it on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
Terminator 2D: No Fate blends fresh missions with standout scenes from the film. Players switch between characters to battle the deadly T-1000 and work to stop Skynet’s world-ending plans.
Your decisions matter—different endings mean you control how the story wraps up. Mike Tucker from Bitmap Bureau says it’s built to feel like the arcade hits of the 80s and 90s, complete with pixel art, heart-pounding gameplay, and a soundtrack that matches the Terminator world.
Fans can also grab special physical editions. The Day One Edition includes a two-sided cover, a cloth poster, a metal arcade token, a manual, and a collector’s box.
The Collector’s Edition ups the ante with a steelbook, a tin case, a metal paperweight, extra posters, a flipbook, and an art book. There’s even an online-only version with a black tin and a unique poster. Pre-orders are live for these bundles.
The game offers plenty of ways to play too. Terminator 2D: No Fate has a Story Mode for the core adventure, an Arcade Mode for that retro feel, an Infinite Mode for non-stop action, and a Boss Rush to face off against big enemies. Each mode keeps things interesting, no matter how often you jump in.
