‘Terra Formars’ Manga Goes on Another Hiatus, Returns This Summer

You might not know that the Terra Formars manga actually started back in 2011. Written by Yū Sasuga and illustrated by Kenichi Tachibana, the manga became a seinen classic, with many fans and critics praising its story, unusual art, and the believability of the horror it depicted.
And while the series had a solid and more or less continuous run from 2011 until roughly 2019, it then went on a years-long hiatus before coming back in 2024, but after about a year of continuous publishing… well, you know the drill.
Yes, sadly, it has been confirmed that the Terra Formars manga is going on another hiatus and we have all the details.
A lot of fans welcomed the return of Terra Formars about a year ago, a story we have reported on, and while the hype for the series never reached the same level as 10 years ago, the loyal fans were still very happy.
But in the recently published 19th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine, it was confirmed that Kenichi Tachibana and Yū Sasuga’s manga will go on another hiatus, and will return with its next chapter this summer. A date has not been specified.
When the manga went on its big, indefinite hiatus back in 2019, it was due to Sasuga’s health issues, and Tachibana even confirmed, at one point, that the manga would definitely come back once Sasuga recovered.
This happened last year, and the manga had a good run until now. We don’t know the reason for this hiatus, but we honestly hope that it will indeed come back in the summer as scheduled and that we won’t have to wait too much again.
