‘The Boys’ Cast Reveals Which Superheroes Their Characters Could Actually Beat in a Fight
At the season finale event for The Boys, the cast got into a fun and chaotic topic: which superheroes their characters could actually beat in a fight. The answers came from different cast members and showed just how differently each actor sees their role in the world of the show.
The information comes from the official The Boys cast event, where the actors spoke in interviews and Q&A moments about their characters and the wider superhero universe.
Jensen Ackles, who plays Soldier Boy, started things off by comparing himself to one of the most famous heroes in comics. He mentioned a crossover-style idea and kept things playful when talking about a match-up with Captain America.
He said, “Somebody just sent me a clip of Soldier Boy versus Captain America. It was like an AI clip. I mean, I don’t know, I’d love to mix it up with Chris; he and I go way back. But as far as the characters go, that’d be interesting.”
Jessie T. Usher, who plays A-Train, went in a more confident direction. He picked The Flash as a possible rival, pointing out that speed would make the fight interesting but not impossible for A-Train.
He said, “The Flash. I’m starting beef tonight. A-Train is pretty quick, and he is also pretty strong too. So I feel like he can take a lot of characters, actually.”
Erin Moriarty, who plays Starlight, chose a very different kind of opponent. She said she would like to see her character go up against the Joker, focusing more on personality than pure power.
She said, “I’m gonna go with the Joker. If she beat the Joker talk about badass. And the Joker is my favorite in terms of all of the evil characters in those movies.”
Laz Alonso, who plays Mother’s Milk, gave a grounded answer. He picked Hawkeye as someone his character could potentially beat if the fight came down to close combat.
He said, “Maybe Hawkeye. The reason why is because if he can close the distance and he can’t use his arrow then it becomes mano y mano and in a fist fight MM is serious business.”
Chace Crawford, who plays The Deep in The Boys, was more realistic about his character’s chances. He suggested The Deep would struggle against almost anyone, though he joked about Aquaman.
He said, “I don’t think The Deep could take anybody in a fight. I mean he could maybe take Aquaman because he’d be on his own turf. There’s a B movie in there somewhere. You know, not without my dolphin.”
Karen Fukuhara, who plays Kimiko, focused on a more balanced fight. She imagined a match-up between Kimiko and Katana, saying it would be a long and even battle.
She said, “I would love to see a Katana/Kimiko fight off. I feel like they’d go toe to toe. So I feel like they’re going to be battling it out for a very long time and then it’s kind of going to be a draw at the end. They’ll just like become friends and eat food.”
Daveed Diggs, who plays Oh Father, gave a more uncertain answer. He suggested Spider-Man could be difficult, but also pointed out that confidence might play a role in how the fight starts.
He said, “I don’t know that he’d win against Spider-Man but I feel like he would feel like he’s scrawny enough and whatever, like you know, what you going to shoot me with some web Spider-Man?”
Cameron Crovetti, who plays Ryan, kept his answer simple and picked Doctor Doom as an interesting challenge.
He said, “Doctor Doom maybe? I think that’d be interesting fight.”
Tomer Capone, who plays Frenchie, went in a completely different direction and gave a bold, exaggerated answer about taking on everyone at once.
He said, “All of them. All of them in episode – and the final episode will prove you that my man.”
Susan Heyward, who plays Sister Sage, said her character would not directly fight at all. Instead, she explained that Sister Sage would avoid physical battles entirely and let others handle them.
She said, “You know, I don’t think she takes on anyone in the fight. I think she is always going to find a way to weasel out of it and have someone else fight her physical battles for her. Always.”

Nathan Mitchell, who plays Black Noir, gave a more unusual answer and joked about much smaller opponents, before expanding into bigger comic book comparisons.
He said, “Jeff the Shark? Fly him into space. Little resistance.”
Finally, showrunner Eric Kripke was also asked about the bigger debate between Homelander and Superman. He leaned toward his own character but admitted the fight is not just about strength.
He said, “I mean, obviously, I got to give to my boy Homelander. The thing is Homelander will fight dirty. Is Superman stronger pound for pound? Probably. But is Homelander willing to murder Lois Lane and rip off Jimmy Olsen’s face and wear it as his own face? And you know, rip Krypto limb from limb? Homelander just doesn’t have the morality that Superman does and that’s a strong advantage.”
The event showed how each actor sees their character differently, with some picking serious matchups and others joking around. It also highlighted the wider theme of The Boys, where power, morality, and chaos often matter more than simple strength.
