‘The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows’ Releases New Visual and Voice Drama

The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows anime finally started on April 3 and the fans can currently enjoy the adaptation of the popular harem fantasy novel series, which is a great thing. And while the anime is only just warming up, the producers are giving us more content, which is awesome!

Created by Sakaku Hishikawa, The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows became a popular series when it received a light novel adaptation 2021; as of the time of writing, there are seven available volumes of the ongoing series.

Alongside the anime, the producers have just released a new visual highlighting Carmilla, as well as a voice story titled “Carmilla’s Long Night.”

Studio Makaria is producing the anime series, which is available for streaming on Crunchyroll, the biggest anime streaming service in the world. The anime features the voice talents of Shogo Sakata as Zenos, Yoko Hikasa as Carmilla, Miharu Hanai as Lily, Sayaka Kikuchi as Loewe, Mashiro Hitaka as Lynga, Anna Nagase as Zophia, Yuki Nakashima as Krishna, Taku Yashiro as Zonde, and Masaaki Mizunaka as Aston.

Carmilla is in the focus of this report, as – as we’ve said – a new voice story titled “Carmilla’s Long Night” has been relesed, focusing on the character. We will link the story to you, but sadly, at this moment, a translation has not been released so you might have to wait a bit before listening to it:

Episode 3 of the anime, “Struggle,” is out on April 17, 2025.
