‘The Flash’ Season 9, Episode 12: Release Date & Preview
The Flash is a superhero show that first premiered on the CW TV network in 2014 as a spin-off of another superhero show of that era, Arrow. The show follows the story of Barry Allen, a forensic scientist who gains superhuman speed and abilities after being struck by lightning. Now, with superhuman powers, Barry dedicates himself as the protector of Central City and, more importantly, the Multiverse.
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/Flash, with Candice Patton portraying Iris West. The West-Allen family now needs to juggle their family with the new dangers threatening the betterment of the Universe. Of course, Team Flash includes Cecile, Allegra, Chester, and Khione, and their support will be instrumental in defending Earth-Prime.
The Flash: Season 9, Episode 12 release date
Episode 12 of The Flash season nine will air on Wednesday, May 17th. The series follows the usual weekly schedule and airs at the designated time every week. This next episode will be the third part of the series finale, and the release schedule in the West will be as follows:

- Central Time (CT) – 7:00 p.m
- Eastern Time (ET) – 8:00 p.m
- United Kingdom (GMT) – 01:00 a.m

The Flash Season 9, Episode 12 preview
In the recent episode, “A New World, Part Two,” we saw a huge reveal regarding Eddie Thawne, teases of Cobalt Blue, Negative Speed Force, and Nora West-Allen’s birth.
Rick Cosnett shined in this episode, and his portrayal of Malcolm Gilmore, a man who finally discovered the truth behind his real identity, and a mysterious man that looks like him, Eddie Thawne.
The “New Order, Part Two” showcased that Eddie Thawne is indeed alive and that the showrunners really used the comics as their source material regarding the Flash villain, Cobalt Blue.
Eddie’s sacrifice in season one has come full circle, and it seems he will end his The Flash journey as the big bad of the whole series. It’s symbolic but also sad since Eddie’s legacy will most likely be shattered. Now, that’s only personal speculation, but the character’s path is going that way.
In the next episode, titled “New World, Part Three,” the synopsis states that Team Flash works together to figure out what is happening with Barry while being careful who to trust after the previous episode’s events. Team Flash thinks of a plan that fails and leads Cecile to be skeptical about it, while Khione encourages Chester to try again.
Frankly, nothing new is revealed from this synopsis, but the special guest star list suggests that we will see Nora West-Allen as XS in the next episode. It will be interesting to see the adult daughter once again in the episode, especially since present-day Iris is giving birth to her, but we will wait and see.
Hopefully, we will see more of Barry in this episode since his story is still the show’s focus, and we will finally see his story ending appropriately.
Also, the trailer for the next episode suggests that Eddie Thawne has something to say to his former colleagues and friends, and it doesn’t look good for Barry and his family – if we are to believe Cobalt Blue’s original story.
