The Flash is a superhero show that first premiered on the CW TV network in 2014 as a spin-off of another superhero show of that era, Arrow. The show follows the story of Barry Allen, a forensic scientist who gains superhuman speed and abilities after being struck by lightning. Now, with superhuman powers, Barry dedicates himself as the protector of Central City and, more importantly, the Multiverse.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/Flash, with Candice Patton portraying Iris West. The West-Allen family now needs to juggle their family with the new dangers threatening the betterment of the Universe. Of course, Team Flash includes Cecile, Allegra, Chester, and Khione, and their support will be instrumental in defending Earth-Prime.

The Flash Season 9, Episode 13 preview

Finally, after nine years, The Flash series will end for good. Even though The Flash director and writer, Eric Wallace, denies that Arrowverse is done for good and that only Flash’s journey is over, it still feels that the end of an era is coming to a close.

In the recent episode, we saw Eddie choosing to become Cobalt Blue, an avatar of Negative Speed Force, and the one who will try to destroy Barry, his family, and allies for good. It was sad seeing Eddie Thawne turn from a hero to a villain, but being a Thawne and connected to the dark side of the speed force makes sense for his character.

Nevertheless, we will most certainly get an epic battle for the conclusion of the series, and the synopsis for the final episode, “New World, Part Four,” only confirms that notion.

The synopsis states that The Flash is tasked with his biggest challenge yet – to save the timeline and whole existence. New and old friends join the fight with Barry to save Central City for the last time.

If we look into the cast for this episode, we will find many familiar faces. Carlos Valdes will return to portray Cisco Ramon; Tom Cavanagh will portray Reverse-Flash, while John Wesley Shipp will appear again, but this time portrays the veteran speedster from Earth-2, Jay Garrick.

Of course, besides Timeless Wells, we will see the return of Hunter Zolomon and August Heart as Godspeed as well. So yeah, Barry will face many of his foes last episode, pushing him to the limit.

Also, we will see Savitar’s cameo in the last episode, portrayed by Grant Gustin himself, which will only increase the stakes for Team Flash. Cobalt Blue will be responsible for returning foes, whom he will lead against Barry Allen for the last time. The trailer for the last episode of The Flash series is intense, and we cannot wait to see what will happen to our favorite speedster, the Flash.
