A new Spider-Man: Brand New Day poster is making waves online after it was spotted in a U.S. retail store, and it strongly teases a major fight between Spider-Man and the Hulk.

The film is a joint project between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures and is also known as Spider-Man 4. It is set to be released in U.S. theaters in the summer of 2026. The movie brings back Tom Holland as Peter Parker, continuing his story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who is known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and the upcoming Wonder Man series. Alongside Holland, the cast includes several returning and new faces. Zendaya returns as MJ, Jacob Batalon is back as Ned Leeds, and Mark Ruffalo returns as Bruce Banner, also known as the Hulk. Other cast members include Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando as Scorpion, and Marvin Jones III as Tombstone.

The new poster was reportedly seen at a Meijer store in the United States Midwest. Meijer is a large retail chain based in Michigan. The image shows Spider-Man and the Hulk facing off in what looks like a direct battle, suggesting a major conflict between the two characters in the upcoming film.

The sighting was shared online by fans, including a post from @SpiderMan_Newz, and it quickly spread across social media. Many fans are now debating what the fight means for the story and whether the Hulk will be an enemy or something more complicated in the film.

According to the official synopsis shared for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the story takes place four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Peter Parker is now living completely alone after choosing to erase his identity from the memories of those closest to him. Without friends or family who know him, he continues to fight crime in New York City as Spider-Man.

The synopsis explains that Peter is fully committed to being a hero, but the pressure of his new life begins to affect him in unexpected ways. It also suggests that his body may go through changes as he faces stronger threats than before. At the same time, a new pattern of crime begins to appear in the city, leading to what is described as one of his most dangerous challenges yet.

The official description states, “After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves.”

It continues, “Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city – a full-time Spider-Man – but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 31, according to Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures.
