‘The Odyssey’ is now within striking distance of cracking the all-time top 10 highest-grossing films worldwide, a list currently guarded by Disney’s ‘Zootopia 2,’ which sits at roughly $1.870 billion. Closing that gap would mark a genuinely unusual achievement for an original, non-franchise film competing against a marketplace dominated almost entirely by sequels and established intellectual property.

The film has already made history several times over during its run. It became Nolan’s highest-grossing release ever, surpassing both ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ and ‘The Dark Knight,’ and it stands as the highest-grossing movie of Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Robert Pattinson’s respective careers globally.
