Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey is already making a big impact before it even hits theaters. The movie is set for release on July 17, and was filmed across several major locations around the world, including Greece, Italy, Morocco, Scotland, and Iceland. Part of the production also took place at Universal Studios Hollywood, which is now turning those filming connections into a public experience.

According to Universal Studios Hollywood and details shared through official park announcements and social media posts from visitors, props from the film are now being displayed as part of the Studio Tour and surrounding areas. The studio has added a large ship used in the movie to the tour route, giving park guests a closer look at one of the key set pieces from the production.

The experience also includes short behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with filmmakers, which are shown on monitors during the tram ride. This allows visitors to get a glimpse into how some of the film’s large-scale water scenes were created.

One of the most talked-about additions is a 34-foot-tall Trojan Horse that will be displayed at Universal CityWalk Hollywood. The structure is set to stand in front of the Universal Cinema AMC theater starting in July, giving fans a direct connection to the world of the film even before its release.

The production itself made use of Universal’s long-running water filming facility known as Falls Lake. According to Universal Studios Hollywood, this large outdoor water tank has been used for decades to simulate ocean environments for major Hollywood films. It has appeared in productions such as Jaws, The Truman Show, Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, and Inception.

For The Odyssey, director Christopher Nolan used the space to film large water sequences that required controlled conditions while still looking like open sea environments. The combination of practical effects and real water setups has been a signature part of many of Nolan’s past films, and this project continues that approach.

Universal Studios Hollywood has a long history of turning film productions into visitor experiences, and this latest installation continues that tradition. By placing actual props from The Odyssey inside the park and nearby entertainment areas, the studio is blending film production with theme park attraction in a very direct way.

The Trojan Horse display and the ship on the Studio Tour are expected to remain through the summer, giving fans multiple ways to engage with the film before it arrives in cinemas. The addition also highlights how large-scale movie productions are increasingly using theme park spaces not just as filming locations, but also as promotional extensions of the film world.

With its global filming locations, large practical sets, and now public displays at Universal Studios Hollywood, The Odyssey is already building strong attention ahead of its release. As reported by Universal Studios Hollywood and confirmed through visitor posts on social media, the film’s presence in the park is becoming one of the most noticeable summer attractions tied to any upcoming blockbuster.
