‘The Rising of the Shield Hero’ Season 4 Releases First Teaser, Reveals Staff Information and Song Info

When it comes to isekai anime, The Rising of the Shield Hero has been one of the most popular titles in recent years. Created by Aneko Yusagi as a novel series, The Rising of the Shield Hero rose to popularity when the light novel debuted in 2013.
The light novel series is still ongoing with 22 volumes as of the time of writing, and it contributed to the production of the anime series as well. The anime series premiered in 2019, and since then, three seasons and 50 episodes have aired.
But, as we all know, a fourth season of The Rising of the Shield Hero anime is on the way and the producers have released the first teaser video, as well as some additional staff information.

It’s not much at this point, but this is just the first trailer. Before the series comes back in July 2025, we are certainly going to get more trailers and content, but this is a solid start and it reveals the first major information for the upcoming season.
We have found out that Hitoshi Haga will be returning from the third season to direct the fourth season at Kinema Citrus. Keigo Koyanagi is also coming back to oversee the series scripts, and character designers will include Franziska van Wulfen, Sana Komatsu, and Masahiro Suwa, all of whom are coming back from the previous season. Takanori Yamamoto, who worked as episode director on previous seasons, will not be the assistant director. Kevin Penkin is coming back to compose the music, alongside previous sub-composers Alfredo Sirica and Natalie Jeffreys.

We also know that most of the cast members will be coming back, alongside new cast members Takeo Ōtsuka, who will appear as Werner, and Jirō Saitō, who will appear as Jaralis. We can also confirm that MADKID will perform the opening theme song “Resolution,” and Chiai Fujikawa will perform the ending theme song “Eien ni Ikkai no” (One Time for Eternity).
