As you probably know, and as we have recently reported, the One Piece franchise has recently been expanding into uncharted territories with its numerous collaborations, and it seems that the trend is continuing.

After the live-action series became a hit, we’ve seen several important collaborations. A series of LEGO sets is coming out later this year; One Piece characters appeared recently as Los Angeles Lakers players; and we will have the pleasure of eating Devil Fruit-flavored ice cream this year.

A new collaboration has been confirmed and this time, it is another sports-related one, although the characters are not going to the NBA to play basketball, but rather to the MLB to play baseball.

As has been confirmed, Toei Animation and the Seattle Mariners, three-time West Division champions, have launched a collaboration for a special One Piece Night that is scheduled to take place on April 8 at T-Mobile Park. The event is taking place ahead of the game versus the Houston Astros, the first game in a three-game series.

Seattle Mariners’ ticket holders will each get a Mariner-themed One Piece t-shirt and will be able to enjoy “pregame activations at Victory Hall. On top of that, the Mariners will also host an Anime Day on April 13, a special event is in partnership with Sakura Con.

Ticket holders will get a special, limited-edition Mariner-themed Anime Aloha Shirt, and a US$5.00 donation will be made to ANCEA/Sakura-con for every ticket sold.
