‘Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun’ Season 3 Sets July Premiere

The Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun manga series by AidaIro may not be the most popular manga series out there, but it has a solid fandom and the manga has been ongoing since 2014, which indicates that there is interest.

An anime adaptation premiered in January 2020, and it has 24 episodes as of the time of writing; an eight-episode spin-off series, After-School Hanako-kun, was also released. But, we also know that a third season of the anime series is on its way.

As per the most recent update, we can confirm that the anime has confirmed a July 2025 return, along with a new visual that you will be able to see below.

As stated, the third season of the anime series will premiere TBS and its affiliates in July 2025, and will air on Sundays at 4:30 p.m. JST. This has been confirmed after the second season ended on March 30, 2025.

Although it hasn’t been confirmed officially yet, it is assumed that the cast members from the previous season will return. As for the crew, we have no information as of the time of writing.

In case you don’t know what the series is about, here is a brief synopsis:

At Kamome Academy, rumors abound about the school’s Seven Mysteries, one of which is Hanako-san. Said to occupy the third stall of the third floor girls’ bathroom in the old school building, Hanako-san grants any wish when summoned. Nene Yashiro, an occult-loving high school girl who dreams of romance, ventures into this haunted bathroom…but the Hanako-san she meets there is nothing like she imagined! Kamome Academy’s Hanako-san…is a boy!
