Tom Hardy’s ‘MobLand’ Season 3 Plans Revealed as Paramount+ Eyes More Crime Drama
Fans of Tom Hardy’s crime drama “MobLand” can breathe easier because the actor is now expected to return if the series gets renewed for a third season. After weeks of uncertainty surrounding Hardy’s future on the Paramount+ show, the situation appears to have been resolved, according to a report from TheWrap.
Hardy plays Harry Da Souza, a skilled fixer who works for a powerful London crime family. His performance has been one of the biggest parts of the show’s success, making questions about his possible exit a major concern for viewers. While Paramount+ has not officially announced Season 3 yet, talks about bringing the series back are already moving forward, and Hardy’s return is reportedly part of those plans.
The news comes after a period of confusion behind the scenes. Earlier reports suggested that Hardy would not return for another season because of problems involving executive producer Jez Butterworth and production company 101 Studios. However, those reports were followed by new information that discussions were still happening and that a possible comeback was not off the table.
According to reports, Hardy, Butterworth, and executive producer David Glasser later met in London to discuss the situation. That meeting reportedly helped repair their working relationship and opened the door for Hardy to continue with the series.
TheWrap, which first reported on Hardy’s return, said that the actor is now set to come back if Paramount+ gives “MobLand” Season 3 the official approval. Representatives for Hardy, 101 Studios, and Paramount+ have been contacted for further comments.
The situation also received attention from Hardy’s co-star Helen Mirren. During the reports about his possible departure, Mirren showed public support for the actor on social media, writing “love you now and always.” Her message quickly gained attention from fans who were following the drama surrounding the series.

“MobLand” has built a strong cast around Hardy, including Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. The series also features actors such as Janet McTeer, Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Jasmine Jobson, Mandeep Dhillon, Daniel Betts, Geoff Bell, Jordi Mollà, Toby Jones, and Helen Mirren.
Created by Ronan Bennett, “MobLand” follows the dangerous world of organized crime in London, focusing on the people trying to survive, gain power, and protect their interests. The first season premiered on Paramount+ in March 2025 and quickly became one of the platform’s notable original dramas. The show was renewed for a second season in June 2025, with production wrapping in March.
The possible Season 3 renewal would continue the story of Harry Da Souza and the criminal empire surrounding him. With Hardy returning, the series appears ready to continue its mix of violence, family conflicts, and power struggles.
While fans are still waiting for Paramount+ to officially confirm Season 3, Hardy’s return removes one of the biggest questions surrounding the future of “MobLand.” If the renewal happens, viewers can expect the actor’s Harry Da Souza to remain at the center of the action.
