‘Venom: The Last Dance’ Merch May Have Just Revealed the Movie’s Main Villain

Sony’s Spider-Man Universe is not off to a good start this year, as the cinematic universe opened 2024 with a majestic flop ‘Madame Web.’ Luckily there are ample opportunities to turn this around since there are two notable releases awaiting us this year, ‘Kraven the Hunter,’ and the final installment of the ‘Venom’ franchise.

Yes, you’ve read that correctly, ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ is the final ‘Venom’ movie in the SSU, with some speculations pointing in the direction that the character could be included in the MCU going forward, but as I’ve said those are just rumors.

And speaking of rumors and speculations, we know almost nothing about the plot of the main movie, except for what we find out through leaks. One major “leak” happened relatively recently through merch that was given to the stunt team.

It seems that the merch indicates that the villain of the upcoming movie will be Lasher, another symbiote.

Lasher is a symbiote and a member of the “Life Foundation” symbiotes. He first appeared in the comic ‘Venom: Lethal Protector #4.’ Lasher is one of five symbiotes forcibly spawned from the Venom symbiote by the Life Foundation, with the goal of creating super-powered guards for their various operations. Each symbiote bonded with one of the Foundation’s soldiers. Lasher is known for his distinctive appearance, with green and yellow coloration, and his abilities include shapeshifting and creating tendrils from his body.

But, the green color scheme of the merch may also indicate Toxin, who was teased in the last project. The character is also associated with green color and would quite frankly, perhaps be a better choice.
