‘WandaVision,’ a hit Marvel series centering on Wanda Maximoff and the aftermath of her loss, was praised for its creative approach to storytelling and exploration of the character’s personalities and emotions. The show was also successful enough to warrant two additional spinoffs, ‘Agatha,’ which is set to arrive on Disney+ later this year, and ‘Vision Quest,’

Back in October 2022, Deadline reported that the second ‘WandaVision’ series was currently in the works, with Jac Schaeffer acting as a head writer and executive producer. In May 2023, it was revealed that Eileen Shim had joined the series as a writer.

Jac Schaeffer however turned his attention to ‘Agatha All Along’ and the series is now helmed by Terry Matalas. With Matalas coming on board, Marvel is making its first new live-action series pickup in almost two years, signaling a shift in its TV production strategy for Disney+. Previously, Marvel followed a features model, assigning leadership mainly to directors and creative executives. Starting in 2022, they moved to a more traditional TV approach, with longer development periods and writer-producers as showrunners.

The show is set to release in 2026, with Paul Bettany set to return to the main role as White Vision, according to Variety.

In the ‘WandaVision’ finale, we saw that the new version of Vision was created by S.W.O.R.D. called White Vision. Wanda’s Vision tries to restore White Vision’s memories by using the Mind Stone from his own forehead, which leads to a philosophical debate about what makes a person a “real” Vision. In the end, White Vision remembers who he is and takes off without any explanation, leaving the fate of the character unclear. The show is reportedly set to take place following the events of ‘WandaVision.’
