‘VisionQuest’ First Posters Revealed, and They’re a Gorgeous Nod to the Character’s Entire MCU Journey
Marvel’s Disney+ slate has quietly become the franchise’s most reliable proving ground for reinventing its most emotionally complex characters, and few have gone through quite as much narrative upheaval as the synthetic Avenger at the center of this latest installment. From his creation in the aftermath of Ultron’s rampage to his devastating death and eventual resurrection, Vision’s story has always been one of the MCU’s most bittersweet threads.
That thread is finally reaching its conclusion, with the upcoming series capping off a trilogy of Disney+ shows that began with ‘WandaVision’ and continued through ‘Agatha All Along.’ Paul Bettany returns to lead the project as White Vision, the reanimated but memory-restored version of the character last seen flying off into the unknown at the end of ‘WandaVision’s’ finale.

Ahead of its premiere, Marvel has unveiled a striking new set of promotional posters for ‘VisionQuest,’ each styled as an in-universe movie poster referencing pivotal moments from the character’s history. The images, spotted within a virtual reality sequence teased in the show’s trailer, revisit Vision’s “Birth,” “Death,” and eventual “Re/Vision,” referencing the events of ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ and ‘WandaVision’ respectively.

Each poster carries its own fittingly dramatic tagline, with the “Birth” poster reading “It takes a robot to fight a robot,” the “Death” poster declaring “He lived for her. He died for us,” and the “Re/Vision” poster stating “First, he was rebooted. Now he must remake himself.” Interestingly, the character’s credited name shifts across the three posters, listed simply as “Vision” on the first two before becoming “The Vision” on the final one, a small detail that’s already sparked speculation among eagle-eyed fans about its significance.

Beyond Bettany’s central performance, ‘VisionQuest’ brings back several familiar digital faces from across the MCU. James Spader returns as Ultron, appearing in human form for the first time since Vision destroyed him during ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’ James D’Arcy also reprises his role as J.A.R.V.I.S., joined by human incarnations of other AI systems including F.R.I.D.A.Y., played by Orla Brady, and E.D.I.T.H., portrayed by Emily Hampshire.
The series also introduces Ruaridh Mollica as Thomas Shepherd, known in Marvel Comics as Speed, one of Wanda Maximoff’s twin sons. Todd Stashwick rounds out the cast as Paladin, a mercenary character reportedly hunting Vision to acquire the advanced technology contained within his synthetic body.
Terry Matalas created the series for television based on the Marvel Comics source material, with Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos, Matalas, Jac Schaeffer, and Christopher J. Byrne serving as executive producers. Filming took place at Pinewood Studios in London, running from March through late July.
‘VisionQuest’ functions as the definitive conclusion to a storyline that’s spanned multiple Disney+ series since ‘WandaVision’ first premiered in 2021, giving fans closure on Vision’s fragmented journey following his death and subsequent resurrection as a memory-less shell of himself. With Ultron’s return also factoring heavily into the story, the series appears poised to directly confront unfinished business from Vision’s earliest MCU appearances.
The eight-episode series is officially set to premiere on Disney+ on October 14, giving fans a clear date to circle as this long-awaited trilogy capper finally arrives. For a character whose entire existence has been defined by rebirth and reinvention, these new posters offer a fittingly poetic visual summary of everything that’s led to this moment.
