‘Wolverine and Kitty Pryde’ #1 Preview: More Details About Their Japanese Adventures

The history of the X-Men is filled with some amazing characters and stories. And while Marvel is working on new stories and on building the future, from time to time, we are given some insights into some past events, which is the case now.
Namely, legendary Uncanny X-Men writer Chris Claremont is back for another series that will dive deeper into the past of the X-Men lore. The fans are certainly going to appreciate this!
Teaming up with rising star Damian Couceiro in the role of the story’s artist, Claremont is going to pen a new series titled Wolverine and Kitty Pride, which is going to take us back to their Japanese adventures!
The original series under that title appeared back in 1984 and this story, which is going to be a new one, will be set between the events of Wolverine and Kitty Pride #6 (from 1984) and Uncanny X-Men #192. Why then? Well, in the former, the titular characters were in Japan and in the latter, they were back in New York.
So, this new series will explore what happened to them in that time period, as the preview image suggests:
“It’s really great returning to this arc, especially since it’s being presented by a wonderful artist, Damian Couceiro. It’s the story of what happens between the end of the original KITTY PRYDE AND WOLVERINE mini-series and Logan and Pryde’s return home to rejoin the X-Men. Five issues, more than a single story, complete with surprises galore!” Claremont said.
The first issue is coming out on April 30, 2025.
