One of the upcoming projects in the MCU that fans were often buzzing about was ‘Wonder Man.’ ‘Wonder Man’ is a Hollywood satire featuring Williams as an actor-turned-superhero in Tinseltown.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will star as Simon Williams (Wonder Man,) alongside Ben Kingsley, Demetrius Grosse, and Ed Harris. Just recently, before the historic SAG-AFTRA project was over, ‘Wonder Man’ was heavily rumored to be canceled, which at the time made sense considering that the show spent a lot of time in development hell, with little to no news regarding it.

Now Nexus Point News uncovered some information regarding production members. A crew member has listed director Tiffany Johnson, known for her work on ‘Poker Face’ and ‘Dear White People,’ alongside Destin Daniel Cretton and Stella Meghie. It suggests Johnson may direct at least one episode of ‘Wonder Man.’

Cindy Chao and Michele Yu, previously Emmy-nominated, are credited as production designers, according to a crew member’s resume. They’ve collaborated with Destin Daniel Cretton before on the Disney+ series ‘American Born Chinese.’

In June 2022, the series focusing on Wonder Man was announced, with involvement from Guest and directed by Cretton. Abdul-Mateen joined the cast in October, followed by Meghie and Ponsoldt as directors in February 2023. Filming commenced in April 2023 in Los Angeles but halted in late May due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Production resumed in January 2024 and wrapped up by April.

The filming was marked by tragedy when the rigger died during production work on the set at Radford Studio Center on February 6, after falling from the rafters.

Expected to debut on Disney+, “Wonder Man” is slated for 10 episodes under the “Marvel Spotlight” label.
