The ‘Star Wars’ universe has been expanding exponentially over the past decade or so, with numerous shows, animated series, and even a ton of new movies. One of the most notable in the bunch was definitely ‘The Mandalorian’ show which aired its third season last year.

Despite Jon Favreau – the creator of ‘The Mandalorian‘ TV series – claiming that the script for ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 4 was finished even before Season 3 officially ended, rumors quickly spread that the show will, in fact, be converted into a movie which was confirmed several weeks ago. Little is known about the movie except for the fact that it will be a continuation of season 3, however, recently working titles have been revealed by Cosmic Circus for both the project focusing on Grogu and Mandalorian and Rey’s next Star Wars Chapter.

Working titles are often used to hide the true nature of the project on set so as to deter unwelcome passersby who might be intrigued by the project by recognizing the name of the high-budget production. Still, the working titles are often leaked and the people most likely to disturb the set still find out about them.

The working title for the upcoming Mandalorian and Grogu movie is ‘Thunder Alley.’ This is a real location in Star Wars lore but not a popular one. Thunder Alley was a part of space near the New Galactic Republic’s borders. Different fleets took turns patrolling there. The Second Fleet had been there the longest without going back for maintenance. In 16 ABY, Gial Ackbar persuaded Leia Organa Solo to swap the Second Fleet with the First Fleet, which had been guarding Coruscant. This is as much as we know. It’s unclear to what extent the working title is connected to the story itself but if is, Mandalorian and Grogu will venture into the ‘Legends’ territory.

Now as far as the ‘Star Wars Episode X’ working title goes, it’s been confirmed that the working title is ‘New Jedi Order’ which is rather connected to what the movie is supposed to be about. Apparently, there have been rumors that the movie’s title has been revealed as well as ‘Star Wars Episode X: A New Beginning’ but this has since been debunked.

In any case, a lot is awaiting us in the future. Lucasfilm’s continuous lineup of feature films will be spearheaded by The Mandalorian & Grogu, and ‘Star Wars Episode X’ with projects directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, and Dave Filoni. Additionally, Filoni is actively working on the development of Ahsoka Season 2, among other upcoming projects.
