Zendaya’s Latest ‘The Odyssey’ Press Tour Look Turns Her Into a Real-Life Greek Goddess
‘The Odyssey’ press tour has already delivered weeks of unforgettable red carpet moments, but Zendaya has quietly been running an entirely separate fashion campaign in between the official premieres. Her stylist, Law Roach, has kept her look evolving from city to city, mixing haute couture showstoppers with more intimate press appearances that still manage to command attention.
The rollout has taken her from a runway fresh Schiaparelli gown flown in from Paris for the London premiere to a bridal white Louis Vuitton design for the film’s stop in France. Each stop has leaned into the same Grecian theme that has defined the entire cast’s press circuit, with Zendaya using her role as the goddess Athena as a springboard for one striking look after another.
That streak continued this week when Zendaya stepped out in a gold corset dress from French label Jitrois while heading to a taping of ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ in New York City. The bustier style dress featured a maxi-length skirt with a thigh-high split, and Roach completed the look with a coordinating gold watch and pointed-toe gold heels, styling her hair in long auburn waves for the outing.
The appearance came as part of a dedicated week of Tonight Show bookings tied to the film, with Zendaya’s Wednesday taping falling between Matt Damon’s stop earlier in the week and Lupita Nyong’o’s closing appearance the night before the movie’s release. Her gold ensemble followed a separate look just a day earlier, when she stepped out in an antique gold pleated silk chiffon Grecian gown from Pamela Rolland’s fall collection while leaving her New York hotel.
The gold dress arrived on the heels of Zendaya’s winged look from the film’s New York premiere, a design from French fashion house Matières Fécale that had reportedly been held for her by the brand for nearly two years at Roach’s request. Between the wings, the flowing chiffon and now the sculpted gold corset, Zendaya’s press tour wardrobe has consistently found new ways to echo her character without repeating the same silhouette twice.
Fans following the rollout have pointed out that Zendaya’s commitment to method dressing throughout the campaign has become one of the more talked about side stories of the film’s release, with her looks frequently trending online alongside news about the movie itself. The gold Jitrois dress in particular drew comparisons to a literal Greek statue, fitting for an actress playing the goddess of wisdom and strategic warfare.
That variation has become something of a signature for Zendaya and Roach throughout the rollout, with each city and each appearance treated as its own distinct fashion moment rather than a repeat of what came before. Even a quick hotel departure or a late night taping has been styled with the same level of intention typically reserved for a formal red carpet.

Her look for the Tonight Show appearance stood in contrast to some of her earlier all-white premiere gowns, marking one of the few moments during the campaign where she moved away from the bridal-inspired palette that had defined much of her London and Paris press stops in favor of a warmer, more statuesque finish.
‘The Odyssey’ opens in theaters on July 17, following preview screenings the night before, and stars Zendaya as Athena alongside Matt Damon as Odysseus, Tom Holland as Telemachus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron.
