12 Superhero Movies To Be Removed From Netflix by the End of March

Netflix periodically removes movies and TV shows from its streaming service due to the expiration of licensing agreements with content owners. Warner Bros. Pictures’ DC movies were added to Netflix in waves starting December 2023. This is part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s strategy to license more titles to third-party services like Netflix.

Consequently, 2023 marked the first time HBO titles were available on Netflix, with plans for more throughout the year, but the contract was short-term in nature over a period of 3-5 months, and now by the end of March, most DC superhero movies that remain on the platform will be removed. The list of the movies that will leave Netflix is as follows:

  1. ‘Man of Steel’ (2013)
  2. ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ (2016)
  3. ‘Suicide Squad’ (2016)
  4. ‘Wonder Woman’ (2017)
  5. ‘Justice League’ (2017)
  6. ‘Shazam!’ (2018)
  7. ‘Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)’ (2020)
  8. ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ (2020)
  9. ‘The Suicide Squad’ (2021)
  10. ‘Black Adam’ (2022)
  11. ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ (2023)
  12. ‘Spy Kids: All the Time in the World’ (2011)

However, you should keep in mind that while these movies will be removed from the US Libraries, if you are located in a different region, you might be still able to access them. ‘Spy Kids’ is leaving the streaming platform on March 29th, while the rest of the DCEU movies are leaving on Sunday, March 31st, 2024. You will still be able to access the franchise on Max which is widely known to be the home of DC content.
