Brad Pitt has often credited growing up in Missouri for his love of movies. In an interview, he shared how summer nights at local drive-ins sparked his passion for storytelling. “Sitting on the hood of the car, watching movies on the big screen—it made me realize we all share the same human experiences,” he said.

Before becoming a Hollywood star, Pitt studied advertising and graphic design at the University of Missouri. He eventually left school and moved to California, telling his parents he was heading to art school, even though his real dream was acting. He never attended art school, choosing instead to chase the Hollywood grind with small TV roles and fast-food commercials.

His early years in Los Angeles weren’t easy. He lived in a cramped North Hollywood apartment with seven other guys. They slept on the floor and had almost no furniture. “As long as we had a TV, a toaster oven, and a stereo, we were happy,” Pitt recalled, laughing.

Pitt has often talked about the actors who influenced him. While he didn’t know much about the classics at first, Marlon Brando in A Streetcar Named Desire made a big impression. But his favorite movie of all time is Jack Nicholson in the 1975 classic One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. “Nicholson’s performance is incredible. The story, the emotion—it’s just brilliant,” he explained.

This year, Pitt is busier than ever. The Adventures of Cliff Booth, a follow-up to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, just released a surprise trailer during Super Bowl LX. Pitt returns as the legendary stuntman, with Quentin Tarantino writing and David Fincher directing.

The film takes place in the 1970s and follows Booth as a Hollywood fixer navigating the darker sides of the industry. The cast also includes Elizabeth Debicki, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carla Gugino, and Holt McCallany.

On top of that, Pitt stars in the racing drama F1, directed by Joseph Kosinski. He plays Sonny Hayes, a veteran driver mentoring a young racing prodigy played by Damson Idris. At 62, Pitt shows no signs of slowing down, balancing big studio projects with Netflix releases and high-profile films.

“Revisiting Cliff Booth with David Fincher is exciting,” he said. Fans are already buzzing about whether Pitt can surpass his Oscar-winning performance in the original. Between his love of cinema, his dedication to acting, and his upcoming projects, Brad Pitt continues to prove why he’s one of Hollywood’s most enduring stars.
