Peacock has officially locked in release dates for two of its most anticipated fall series, the “Friday the 13th” prequel Crystal Lake and the psychological thriller The Good Daughter, according to announcements made during the NBC upfronts.

The horror prequel Crystal Lake will premiere on October 15 on Peacock. The series explores the early life of Pamela Voorhees, the future antagonist of the “Friday the 13th” franchise, and is set long before the events of the original films. Linda Cardellini leads the cast in the role of Pamela Voorhees, bringing a new take on the iconic character. William Catlett also stars as Levon Brooks, although details about his character have not been revealed.

The show aims to expand the “Friday the 13th” universe by focusing more on character history rather than just the familiar slasher elements. It gives viewers a look at what shaped Pamela Voorhees before the horror events that made the franchise famous.

Peacock also confirmed that The Good Daughter will be released later in the fall, arriving on November 12. The series is based on the novel by Karin Slaughter and follows two sisters who are forced to revisit a traumatic event from their past when a new violent incident brings old secrets back to the surface.

The cast includes Rose Byrne, Meghann Fahy, Brendan Gleeson, and Harper Steele. The story focuses on family tension, memory, and how past trauma can continue to affect people years later. It is described as a psychological crime drama with a heavy emotional core.

Alongside these two series, Peacock also shared updates on several other upcoming shows. The The Office spin-off The Paper will return for its second season in September. The show is set in the same universe as The Office and follows a struggling Midwestern newspaper. Oscar Nuñez reprises his role as Oscar Martinez, linking the new series to the original. The cast also includes Domhnall Gleeson, Chelsea Frei, Sabrina Impacciatore, and Alex Edelman.

Amy Poehler’s new comedy Dig is also set for a November release. Created with Michael Schur, the series follows a group of archaeologists in Greece who uncover a discovery that pulls them into a global conspiracy.

Peacock also mentioned Ted: The Animated Series, which is listed as “coming soon,” with no exact release date yet announced.

These announcements were part of NBC’s upfront presentation, where the network showcased its upcoming slate of shows across streaming and television. The event also included updates on other programming plans across NBC, Bravo, and major live sports content.

With horror, drama, comedy, and franchise expansions all on the way, Peacock’s fall lineup is shaping up to be one of its busiest seasons yet.
