‘Euphoria’ Cast Member Ends Rumors of Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney Feud

Rumors about tension between Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney on the set of Euphoria have been spreading online, but a cast member from the HBO series has now stepped in to shut them down.

Jessica Blair Herman, who appears in the upcoming season of the show, addressed the speculation during an interview. The comments come after weeks of fan theories and social media posts suggesting there was behind-the-scenes drama between the two lead actresses.

According to Herman, the idea of a feud is not something she has seen at all while working on the series. Speaking about the atmosphere on set, she made it clear that things were far less dramatic than online rumors suggest. She said, “They really did. And I’m not just saying that.”

The speculation grew after Sydney Sweeney was absent from a recent cast photo, which led some fans to assume there was tension. That was followed by unnamed reports online claiming the two actresses were not getting along and would be glad when the show eventually ends.

Herman pushed back on those claims and explained that the situation is much simpler. She said, “To be fair, when I was there, they’re not sharing scenes. Their storylines are very separate, you’re shooting on different days and stuff.”

She also added that there was no conflict on set and described the working environment as normal and focused. “There was no drama,” she said. “Everyone wants to do the work.”

The rumors have likely been fueled by the fact that both Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney are extremely busy outside of Euphoria. Zendaya is currently attached to major upcoming projects including Dune: Part Three and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, while Sweeney is working on sequel to The Housemaid along with various brand partnerships and her fashion business.

With both actresses often working on different schedules and separate storylines within the series, cast members suggest there is little overlap that would even allow for frequent interaction during filming.

As of now, neither Zendaya nor Sydney Sweeney has commented directly on the rumors. Based on what has been shared by those on set, the idea of a rivalry appears to be based more on fan speculation than anything happening behind the scenes.
