Doctor Doom’s LEGO Minifigure Just Gave ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Fans Their Most Detailed Look Yet at RDJ’s Villain

The merchandise machine for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ has been slowly but steadily doing what Marvel’s marketing team has been carefully avoiding. Toy leaks, action figures, and promotional art have collectively painted a detailed portrait of the film’s biggest characters months before a single frame of official footage has been released to the public.

Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, in particular, has become one of the most scrutinized character designs in recent MCU history, with fans poring over every accessory and armored detail that makes it onto shelving units overseas.

The latest piece of the puzzle has surfaced from a source that Marvel fans have learned to pay close attention to. Images shared by Instagram leaker carter_bricks04 and picked up across social media now show what appears to be an official LEGO minifigure of Doctor Doom from the upcoming ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ set wave.

The figure itself is striking in its comic accuracy. A rumored Doctor Doom Bust set, catalogued as product 76345, is reported to be launching in September with 379 pieces, and if it follows the same format as previous bust sets in the line, fans can likely expect a display-ready bust of the villain alongside a Doctor Doom minifigure, which would be the character’s first LEGO minifig in over a decade.

The timing of this early look, arriving well ahead of any official announcement, is entirely consistent with how LEGO merchandise has historically tipped off MCU character details before studios are ready.

The minifigure’s appearance does not exist in a vacuum. It lands just days after a separate wave of Hasbro action figures leaked online via a Polish retail site, amplified by toy blogger idlehandsblog, which gave the most complete look yet at Doom’s physical design. The Hasbro Titan Series Doctor Doom figure features a green hooded cloak, silver metallic armor with a segmented chest plate and gauntlets, a stern silver mask, and black armored boots, offering a full-body look at the character in his classic comic-inspired costume.

The LEGO minifigure visible in the leaked images is consistent with that palette, green hood, silver armor, and the signature masked face that has defined the character in the source material for decades. The figure’s packaging also appears to use the same promotional artwork that Disney has previously displayed during CinemaCon presentations, suggesting the design seen here is fully official and approved rather than a prototype variation.

One of the more intriguing details surfacing from the broader toy wave is what Doom will actually be able to do on screen. The Hasbro figure includes red energy blast accessories, hinting at the kind of power Robert Downey Jr.’s Victor Von Doom will wield on screen, while Thor’s figure suggests the God of Thunder will fashion himself a helmet out of crackling yellow lightning effects. These kinds of accessories rarely appear without narrative basis, and the red energy motif aligns with Doom’s mystic and technological capabilities in the comics.

The broader toy wave also confirmed several other character appearances and design choices. Figures in the wave include Doctor Doom, Thor, Sam Wilson’s Captain America, The Thing, Human Torch, and Beast, with Beast’s figure displaying the classic X-Men logo on his belt. The inclusion of Beast alongside the Fantastic Four members and the Avengers underlines just how sprawling the ensemble is expected to be.

Directed by the Russo Brothers and scheduled for release on December 18, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ has been building anticipation through a tightly controlled information drip. A full trailer debuted at CinemaCon but has not been released publicly. The cast assembled behind Downey Jr.’s Doom includes Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Simu Liu, and Chris Evans, among others, with the story centered on combined efforts from the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men to stop a major multiverse threat.

For fans who cannot wait until December, the LEGO minifigure and its accompanying merchandise wave are doing the heavy lifting. The character’s green hood, silver mask, and armored silhouette in miniature plastic form are already generating considerable buzz on social media, with collectors and casual fans alike responding to how closely the design tracks to the iconic version from the comics.
