‘Office Romance’ Star Jennifer Lopez (57) Serves Boudoir Glam in Milan With a Lace-Trimmed Slip
Jennifer Lopez has been working her way through Milan Fashion Week like a woman on a mission. The 57-year-old has cycled through a wide range of looks, from black-tie glamour to head-to-toe animal print. Her stay in the city has become one of the most closely watched style stories of the week.
She kicked things off at Vogue World: Milano on September 22 in a black sequin-trimmed Dolce & Gabbana corset gown, and she spent the rest of the trip mostly in Dolce & Gabbana. The next day, she hit the Milan streets in a cropped leopard-print trench with matching bottoms and footwear.
Now the glam team is offering a peek behind the scenes. Justine Marjan and makeup artist Ernesto Casillas shared Instagram photos of the star posing in a hotel room in a lingerie-inspired look. The outlet described her outfit as a white silk slip dress resembling a negligee, and noted that she skipped the bra.
Casillas’ carousel shows the singer in a semi-sheer top with spaghetti straps and lace panels at the bust, while she touches up pink tones around her eyes with a pencil. A table full of lipsticks and other makeup products sits in front of her. It is a soft, romantic contrast to the drama of the runway events.
The pink makeup is also a rare choice for Lopez, and the softer tones highlight her features in a natural way. Fans flooded the comments on Casillas’ post with praise.
The slip is far from an isolated moment. A day before the Dolce & Gabbana after-party, Lopez posted an Instagram video in a lime-green silk slip with white lace trim, opening up about a “scary” new chapter now that her children have gone off to college. In that clip she wore a natural look, with a bare face and tousled hair.
Lace has been a running theme all week. On September 26, she arrived at the Dolce & Gabbana after-party in a see-through black lace gown layered over tiny black lingerie, topped with an oversized black fur coat. Marie Claire put the look squarely in the naked dress trend, and noted that Lopez is no stranger to it.
Earlier that same day, she dressed for the runway in a completely different mood. Lopez arrived at Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2027 show in a black velvet three-piece suit, finished with a slim tie, knee-high velvet boots and a paperboy cap inspired by Thomas Shelby of ‘Peaky Blinders’. The switch from menswear to lingerie in a matter of hours shows how much range she has been playing with.
The boudoir look also fits a longer pattern for the star. Earlier this year, she wore a plunging lace and satin slip dress with no bra in Beverly Hills, in a romantic, boudoir-inspired look. Milan simply raised the stakes, and the behind-the-scenes images show how the glam is made.
