‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’ Star Elle Fanning Shows Off a Star-Covered Coach Bag That Ties Into Her Latest Campaign
Elle Fanning and Coach have been a natural fit for years, and Elle Fanning’s Coach bag choices regularly draw attention from fashion fans. The Oscar-nominated actress is a longtime ambassador for the brand and has sat in the front row at its fashion shows.
Her recent history with the label is packed. She starred in Coach’s spring 2026 ‘Explore Your Story’ campaign, and in February she attended its New York Fashion Week show carrying a Tabby bag with a miniature book charm.
Now a new post has fans talking again. Fanning has shared new photos on Instagram, which show her posing against a terracotta-colored wall in a light coat while carrying a light Coach bag covered in small star details. Both shots were posted Sunday morning.
The accessory appears to match a special-edition style on Coach’s website. The Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 Inspired by Elle Fanning is a modern take on an archival 1970s Coach design, made from natural grain leather and suede. It features a playful embroidered and crystal-studded star motif and sells for $595.
It also comes from a limited run built around the stars of Coach’s latest campaign. The special-edition bags are inspired by the personal style and stories of the talents featured in the fall 2026 effort. The compact 26 size comes with two detachable straps, so it can be carried by hand, worn as a short shoulder bag or worn crossbody.
Coach announced the full cast of its fall 2026 campaign, called ‘Live Your Story,’ on Sept. 16. Fanning stars across four short films directed by Vincent Haycock, playing a bus driver heading to a music festival. Musicians PinkPantheress, SOYEON, Lilas and Shan Yichun each take a turn, and each provides music for their own story.
The Tabby is the star of the campaign, and Coach made five special-edition versions, one inspired by each cast member. The brand has also paired the campaign with its Spotify partnership and the return of its Tabby Tour, which blends live music and customization. Fanning reportedly filmed while on set in Budapest, which she says made the shoot more exciting.
Fanning’s style moments come during a very busy stretch. She received her first Oscar nomination for ‘Sentimental Value,’ and Coach hosted a dinner in December to honor her ahead of the nomination. She also starred in ‘Predator: Badlands,’ and the two films opened on the very same day.
On the small screen, she was at the 2026 SXSW premiere of ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles,’ where she wore a red midi dress by Coach. She is also set to play Effie Trinket in the upcoming ‘The Hunger Games’ prequel ‘Sunrise on the Reaping.’
That mix of prestige drama, big-budget sci-fi and franchise work makes her an appealing face for a brand built around personal storytelling. Coach’s creative director Stuart Vevers has called her a treasured part of the Coach family, a sign of how much the label values the relationship.
The star details on this latest bag keep that story going, giving the campaign another moment without needing a runway. For fans, it’s a reminder that Fanning’s red-carpet looks and her Instagram-style posts often lead back to the same polished, vintage-leaning aesthetic.
