Few villains wear a color as recognizable as Doctor Doom’s green cloak, and marketing teams have clearly noticed. As ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ barrels toward theaters, the movie’s brand partners are racing to put that signature shade on everything from donuts to cookies. The result is a holiday season in which the fast-food aisle looks a lot more like Latveria than a drive-thru.

The tie-ins have been piling up for weeks. Dunkin’ launched a themed menu on November 4 with a Doomsday Donut, an Avenging Donut, tumblers and color-changing mugs, while Jack in the Box introduced a Doomsday Dipping Box with collectible mystery magnets. Oreo released its Stuf of Doom cookies, and M&M’s put its yellow mascot in Doom’s armor for a Walmart-exclusive pack.

Now Burger King has gone the boldest route yet, and its green menu in India is turning heads. The chain is serving a green Whopper, green-coated chicken nuggets and loaded fries drenched in the same bright sauce, all part of the limited-edition ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Collection that launched on November 3. Items start at Rs 99, and the menu is available across Burger King restaurants in India.

The star of the lineup is the Doomsday Whopper, which pairs a black glazed bun with a bright-green spicy garlic sauce that gives the burger a rather radioactive look. Burger King says the black bun gets its color from plant-derived natural food coloring. Customers can choose between an Extra Crunch Veg version and a Flame-Grilled Chicken version.

The look is aimed squarely at Doctor Doom, the film’s antagonist, whom Robert Downey Jr. plays. Each order also comes in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ themed packaging, with a Doom-inspired crown thrown in. It is a very on-brand extra for a chain whose own mascot is a king.

The green sauce does not stop at the burger. Thor Thunder Nuggets, a boneless chicken item and Falcon Fearless Chicken Wings are all covered in it, according to reports. The Loki Molten Cheese Burger is described as a large fried cheese patty coated in the sauce, and Shuri Vibranium Fries get the drizzle as well.

The rest of the lineup includes the Cyclops Soft Paneer Burger and the Magneto Crunchy Chicken Burger, which place the X-Men on the same menu as the Avengers. A drink called Fantastic Fizz rounds things out, and it has been described as a Sprite mixture, though the full ingredients are not confirmed.

The menu also reflects how Burger King operates in India. The chain dropped beef and pork when it launched there, so its Whoppers have long come in chicken and vegetarian versions. A Veg Whopper exclusive to India, with a double coating for extra crunch, has been part of that localization effort.

That context makes the Doomsday menu’s paneer and veg options feel like a natural fit. Burger King has also opened pre-bookings through its app for a limited-edition Doomsday Meal bundled with a collectible ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ tumbler.

Burger King Turns Doctor Doom Into a Glowing Green Whopper With a Giant ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Menu

This is not the first time Burger King has experimented with dramatic bun colors. Its earlier black-bun Halloween Whopper went viral after customers claimed on social media that it had some surprising side effects. The new menu leans on a similar visual shock, though this time the color comes from a sauce rather than a baked-in ingredient.

Whether the green look is appetizing is a matter of taste. Still, a menu this visual is practically built to be photographed and shared, which is exactly what a movie campaign wants. The launch is backed by digital promotions, in-restaurant activations, outdoor advertising and influencer partnerships, and the items are available for dine-in, takeaway and delivery.

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ reaches Indian theaters on December 17, a day before its US release, in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. In the US, it opens on December 18, the same day as ‘Dune: Part Three’, a clash that fans have dubbed ‘Dunesday’. Burger King has not announced whether the menu will travel beyond India, so fans elsewhere may have to wait and see.
