Movie marketing has always had a hungry side, and few campaigns have been as eager to team up with brands as ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. With the film now weeks away, the fast-food aisle is filling up quickly, and Burger King has just thrown its crown into the ring with a full Burger King ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ menu. It is a loud, colorful and slightly radioactive-looking way to celebrate one of Marvel’s biggest crossover events yet.

The film itself is a true mash-up. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, it pits a huge ensemble against Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, with the X-Men and the Fantastic Four joining the Avengers for the first time. Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen and James Marsden are returning as Professor X, Magneto and Cyclops, while Pedro Pascal appears as Reed Richards.

That crowded cast list is exactly what the new menu leans on. Burger King India launched a limited-edition ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Collection on November 3, with items starting at Rs 99, and the lineup is named after characters from across the franchise. The reveal followed a 15-second teaser on October 30 that showed a Burger King employee placing director’s chairs, each one printed with a menu item, before ending on green lightning and a glowing crown.

The headline item is the Doomsday Whopper, which comes in a black glazed bun with a spicy garlic flavor and a bright-green sauce. Customers can pick between the Extra Crunch Veg and Flame-Grilled Chicken versions, and Burger King says the black buns get their color from plant-derived natural coloring. Orders also arrive in themed burger boxes along with a Doctor Doom-inspired crown.

Beyond the Whoppers, the burger lineup includes the Loki Molten Cheese Burger, the Cyclops Soft Paneer Burger and the Magneto Crunchy Chicken Burger. The Loki burger is a large fried cheese patty coated in the green sauce, while the Cyclops and Magneto options give the X-Men their own spots on the board.

The sides are just as character-driven. Shuri Vibranium Fries, Falcon Fearless Chicken Wings and Thor Thunder Nuggets all appear on the list, alongside a boneless chicken item that the poster artwork pairs with Gambit, although some coverage lists it under Magneto’s name. Several of the chicken options are covered in the same green sauce.

To wash it all down, there is a drink called Fantastic Fizz, a clear nod to the Fantastic Four. The soda has been described as a Sprite mixture, though the exact ingredients have not been fully detailed.

Burger King has also opened pre-bookings through its app for a limited-edition Doomsday Meal that comes bundled with a collectible ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ tumbler. The menu is available for dine-in, takeaway and delivery, and the launch is backed by digital promotions, in-restaurant activations and influencer partnerships.

The poster-style artwork for the collection gives each item a comic-book treatment, with the characters set against a green lightning backdrop that matches the film’s Doctor Doom branding. Seeing Cyclops firing his optic beam above a black-bun burger is exactly the kind of cheerful absurdity that fast-food crossovers do best.

For now, the menu is tied to India, and there has been no announcement about bringing it to the United States or other international markets. Burger King has a long history of turning movie hype into limited-time cravings, so fans elsewhere may be watching closely for any expansion.

Marvel’s film itself arrives in US theaters on December 18, and the tie-ins are likely to keep rolling out until then. Hot Toys and Sideshow have already opened pre-orders for figures of Doctor Doom, Magneto, Cyclops and Gambit, and Hasbro is rolling out a Marvel Legends line featuring Thor, Sam Wilson’s Captain America and the Fantastic Four. The Russo brothers are also set to direct the follow-up, ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, which is scheduled for December 17, 2027. Between toys, collectibles and now a green-sauced Whopper, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is already everywhere before it even hits the big screen.
