Iron Man is, without a doubt, one of the most popular superheroes in the MCU ever. Over the years, he appeared in many movies and greatly impacted each. Tony’s charisma, intellect, and boldness always guaranteed great entertainment, and his character is a joy to watch. With that in mind, let’s remind ourselves of all Iron Man movies and appearances.
1. ‘Iron Man’ (2008)

The first ‘Iron Man’ movie poses as the titular character’s origin story and also starts off the entire franchise. Tony Stark is severely wounded and kidnapped by the terrorists. The only way to survive is to escape from captivity, and he does that by creating a suit made of iron like it was never seen before. When he returned home, his true journey began.
2. ‘The Incredible Hulk’ (2008)

The scene often referred to as the “post-credits scene” of The Incredible Hulk is actually a mid-credits scene where Tony Stark approaches General Ross in a bar. While not at the very end of the credits, it was a crucial scene that introduced the idea of a larger interconnected universe, foreshadowing the Avengers initiative.
In the scene, Stark tells Ross they are putting a team together, hinting at the formation of the Avengers, and asks Ross about the Hulk.
3. ‘Iron Man 2’ (2010)

‘The Avengers’ assembled the Earth’s mightiest heroes to stop Loki and Chitauri’s invasion of New York. The movie showed us a team-up of legendary superheroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Thor. All of them have to work together and put their different opinions aside. Tony witnesses for the first time where the Earth’s true threat lies when he carries a missile through the wormhole in the sky.

Following the event in ‘The Avengers’, Tony is struggling and tries to occupy himself by creating as many suits as possible, only to sacrifice them for a greater cause.
6. ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ (2015)

In this one, Tony’s own creation turns against him and threatens to destroy humanity as we know it. Avengers are forced to confront the villainous artificial intelligence known as Ultron, and it is up to Iron Man and his teammates to stop Ultron before he takes control of the world and reshapes it to his own liking.
7. ‘Captain America: Civil War’ (2016)

When the world governments decide it is time to put superpowered individuals in check so they cannot operate according to their own liking, two opposing sides are created among the Avengers. One is led by Iron Man, and the other by Captain America. All of it culminates in a grand clash between two friends and brothers-in-arms.
8. ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ (2017)

Even though this movie is centered around Peter Parker and his will to prove himself worthy of being an Avenger, Iron Man poses as Peter’s mentor and guides him through his first superhero steps. Tony sees much potential in Peter but worries that he is still too young and reckless to be part of the ‘big league.’

When Thanos comes looking for the Infinity Stones, the Avengers respond and confront him. Iron Man ends up on Titan with Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, and the Guardians of the Galaxy, and they devise a plan to defeat Thanos and steal the Infinity Gauntlet from him.
10. ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (2019)

The Avengers failed, and Thanos managed to fulfill his plans. All that resulted in half of the universe’s population being wiped out of existence. However, five years later, a new opportunity to undo Thanos’s actions arose, and the Avengers decided to take it. There was only one outcome in which the mightiest heroes came victorious, including Tony sacrificing himself and ensuring everyone else’s survival.
