‘A Minecraft Movie’ Is Fandango’s Best Pre-Selling PG-Rated Film of 2025

A Minecraft Movie is coming out on April 4, 2025. This comedy adaptation of the popular video game has attracted a lot of controversy, as many fans feared that the adaptation would be subpar and would not honor the spirit of the game.
Still, the movie adaptation attracted some solid names (Jack Black and Jason Momoma), and while we don’t know what the fans are going to say next week, a relatively interesting number suggests that the film might be a hit with the fans.
As has been confirmed by Fandango, A Minecraft Movie is currently the top pre-selling PG-rated title on Fandango this year. This is a number that might indicate that the movie will do well in cinemas!
The movie will star Jason Momoa as Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison, Jack Black as Steve, and Emma Myers as Natalie, Danielle Brooks as Dawn, Sebastian Hansen as Henry, Jennifer Coolidge as Vice Principal Marlene, and Rachel House as Malgosha.
On top of that, Matt Berry, Kate McKinnon, and Jemaine Clement have all been cast in undisclosed roles, and YouTuber Vaklyrie will have a cameo. The movie is out on April 4, 2025 and had a production budget of $150 million.
