New ‘Avengers 5’ Reports Claim that The Movie Will Be a “Multiversal Film With Grounded Story “

Out of all the movies on Marvel Studios’ release schedule, the ‘Avengers’ franchise is undoubtedly the most exciting one. We know that two new ‘Avengers’ movies are in development, and when it comes to the fifth installment in the franchise, we’ve been through a lot in the last few months.

Majors’ was fired back in December after being found guilty of third-degree assault against his former girlfriend, and since then, the direction of the movie is confusing, to say the least. The movie internally changed its name from ‘Kang Dynasty’ to ‘Avenger 5,’ and we can’t even be sure that Kang is the main villain still.

Some new reports however have surfaced via Alex Perez’s discord AMA which claim that the movie will focus on a multiversal story with grounded story.

It sounds like ‘Avengers 5’ might explore the multiverse, possibly splitting into two parts with a grounded storyline. There’s speculation about adapting elements from the ‘Avengers Assemble/Avengers: Forever’ event, which involves a Multiversal Council of Mephisto variants known as the Council of Red, Multiversal Masters of Evil, and an Avengers team-up to prevent the destruction of existence. This could tie into Mephisto’s rumored introduction into the MCU and could be an intriguing storyline leading into ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’

Considering that both ‘Avengers 5’ and ‘Secret Wars’ will be ‘Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame’ of the next several phases, we can assume that a large roster of characters will appear.

The movie also doesn’t have a director as of yet, but the latest reports claim that Shawn Levy is being courted by the studio to helm the movie, he has been allegedly handed the script for the movie. Sources close to the project reveal that over 60 MCU characters might reprise their roles, including stars like Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, and Benedict Cumberbatch, as well as Tom Hiddleston, Simu Liu, and Karen Gillan. Unlike the first four films, which focused on a core group led by Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Hemsworth, and Ruffalo, this film will feature many characters on equal footing, making it an ensemble piece rather than being led by a few key characters.
