‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Gets Ready With Me Inside the New Avengers Tower, and It’s Sweatier Than You’d Think
Superhero marketing campaigns usually lean on thunderous trailers, moody posters and a villain staring menacingly into the camera. Every so often, though, Marvel takes a left turn and shows us the part of the universe nobody expected: the office. With the multiverse about to collide, the latest promo for ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ trades capes for a collared shirt.
The film is set to hit theaters on December 18, and Marvel’s marketing has been methodical since it began in December 2025 with character-focused teasers. Since then there have been several trailers, a batch of 25 new posters featuring heroes like Thor, Giant-Man, Human Torch, Black Panther and Professor X, and a “Doom Is Supreme” piece of art starring Robert Downey Jr.’s villain. Against that backdrop, a lighter, more playful promo was bound to stand out.
The new ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ promo takes fans inside the New Avengers Tower with a “Get Ready With Me” workday video. On-screen text reads “GRWM for work: Avengers Tower Edition” as a smiling receptionist, dressed in a rust-colored blazer over a blue collared shirt, records herself preparing for the day. Instead of showing heroes in battle, it opens a window into a quieter corner of the MCU: the front desk.

The clip is an advertisement from the deodorant brand Secret, promoting its Clinical line as part of the film’s wave of corporate tie-ins. As with other Marvel Studios releases, ‘Doomsday’ is partnering with popular brands to spread the word that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are returning.
The ad follows a receptionist handling calls and workplace problems. When one call gets confusing, she tells the person that the Hulk doesn’t work there anymore. Another caller asks how she stays calm while a war rages outside, and she credits her deodorant as her secret weapon.
It is a humorous glimpse of everyday life inside Marvel’s New York headquarters, played for laughs rather than spectacle. Fans have seized on it as one of the funniest pieces of ‘Doomsday’ marketing so far.
The funniest detail may also be the most important. Near the end of the commercial, the receptionist is on the line with someone who needs help spelling Groot’s name, potentially because they want to reach the tree-like hero. According to The Direct, it is the first mention of a Guardians of the Galaxy character in ‘Doomsday’ marketing.
That matters because the Guardians are easily the biggest omission from the film. Doctor Strange, Spider-Man and Captain Marvel also look ready to sit this one out and wait for ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’ The ad suggests Marvel hasn’t forgotten about the team.
The team went its separate ways after ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.’ Peter Quill returned to Earth, Nebula and Drax stayed on Knowhere, and Mantis ventured off with a group of Abilisks. Rocket and Groot kept the team going with Kraglin, Adam Warlock, Phyla and Cosmo.

The promo also lines up with a real-world product. LEGO’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ New Avengers Tower is a 954-piece, 4-level set that stands 13.5 inches tall and includes a helipad, lab, control room, reception area and working elevator. Minifigures include Yelena, Red Guardian, Bucky Barnes, Sentry, Human Torch and a brand-new Doctor Doom.
The ground-level reception area even includes treats for fans to discover, such as Black Panther’s claw and Thor’s Stormbreaker and Mjölnir. The set was priced at $109.99 ahead of an October 4 release. That means the front desk in the ad has a plastic twin that fans can now build themselves.
Together, the ad and the toy offer an unusually clear picture of the redesigned headquarters. The Tower is no longer just a skyline landmark; it is a workplace with phones, packages and a very patient receptionist. It also hints at who is inside, since the ad has her signing for packages for Yelena Belova and Co.
There is a method behind the humor. ‘Doomsday’ carries a huge cast and a heavy tone, and a lighthearted promo lets the marketing breathe before the multiverse comes crashing in. It also gives casual viewers a reason to engage with a franchise that can feel intimidating from the outside.
Brand tie-ins like this one are a staple of the Marvel playbook, but a front-desk perspective is a clever twist. It grounds the Avengers in a recognizable world of phone calls, deliveries and workplace stress. Even Earth’s Mightiest Heroes need someone to answer the phone.
Between the LEGO set, the Doom artwork and the cheeky workday video, the road to December 18 is shaping up to be a mix of spectacle and comedy.
