The fourth Captain America movie set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was officially announced at San Diego Comic-Con last July, with Anthony Mackie set to reprise the role of Sam Wilson, aka new Captain America, who inherited the Captain America shield from Steve Rogers. The movie is currently in production, and it’s set to arrive in theaters next May. However, it looks like the movie won’t keep its initially announced title.

Chris Evans said farewell to the role of Captain America in 2019’s ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ in which Steve Rogers named Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson his successor. However, the Disney+ series ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ showed us how Sam didn’t want to take the shield initially, thinking that no one could wield it except the original Captain America. But before the last episode, Sam answered that call and embraced the shield. Shortly after the conclusion of the series, the fourth ‘Captain America’ movie was announced to be in development.

Captain America 4 drops “New World Order” from its title!

Captain America 4 was officially announced by Kevin Feige at San Diego Comic-Con last July with its official title — ‘Captain America: New World Order.’ Although there have been some rumors in the last few weeks that the movie might be retitled, none of those seemed solid until now.

In his latest post on social media, Anthony Mackie posted a behind-the-scene image featuring him and Harrison Ford on the set, revealing that the movie’s new official title is ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’ Shortly after, the post was shared by Marvel Studios’ official account, which confirms this new title is legit.
