Chris Pratt Has an Insane Update for Fans of MCU and DCU: “Let’s Do Both. I Think It’s 100% Both”

Will Star Lord Die in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’? Here’s What We Know

It’s been more than a year since ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.’ was released. It marked the end of the team as we knew it, and it was also the last movie that Gunn would direct for the MCU before he transitioned full-time into helming the newly established DCU.

Chris Pratt’s character, Star-Lord got the ending he deserved, he lost the girl but gained something much better, the opportunity to figure out what he lost when he was abducted by Yondu. In the last scenes of the movie, Peter is enjoying a meal with his maternal grandfather, the final message being “Star-Lord will return.”

Obviously, Peter Quill is a massive part of the MCU and one of the most popular characters, so it was only logical that he would return to subsequent projects, but then again the seed of doubt has been sown considering that Rocket Raccoon took control of the team and there are quite a few new members in it now, considering that the old team disbanded.

In his recent interview with ComicBook, while promoting the upcoming ‘The Garfield’ Chris Pratt confirmed that he will return to the MCU and will be a part of Gunn’s newly revamped DCU:

Well, it probably make more sense that I would be Star Lord again. But anything is possible, and especially with James over at DC. Maybe there’s something that would be right over there. Maybe both. How about both? Let’s do both. I think it’s 100% both.

Now as far as Gunn’s DCU goes, some projects already have castings revealed like ‘Superman’ bound to be released in 2025, but there’s plenty of projects that are in development with unknown roles.

‘The Authority,’ ‘The Brave and the Bold,’ ‘Lanterns,’ and I’m sure that Gunn will be able to find an appropriate role for Pratt. Gunn already recently asked social media to find a good role for Dave Bautista in the DCU. This is not as surprising considering that the director stated several times before that he likes to work with the same actors, especially if they are pleasant to work with. He already cast his brother Sean Gunn in the role of Maxwell Lord.
