Colby Minifie, who plays Ashley Barrett in The Boys, recently shared a very unusual idea she once had for her character’s superpower.

She said she once pitched a version of Ashley with a power that was both embarrassing and darkly comedic. Minifie described it by saying, “She has acid pee and has to fill balloons full of acid pee but it has to be humiliating…And then she realizes she needs to aim her pee, so she builds herself a catsuit with a dck on it. She calls herself She-Wee”.*

The idea was never used in the series, but it shows the kind of extreme humor that often surrounds The Boys universe.

In the actual series finale of The Boys, Ashley’s story goes in a very different direction. After Ashley injects herself with Compound V after the Season 4 finale events, which leads to her developing telepathic powers. She also ends up with a second sentient face on the back of her head named Bashley, which represents a kind of inner voice and conscience.

After gaining these powers, Ashley plays a key role in the final conflict. Using Bashley’s psychic abilities, she helps The Boys get inside the White House so they can confront Homelander.

Following Homelander’s defeat, Ashley briefly becomes President of the United States. She even holds a press conference where she takes credit for the operation that brought him down.

Her time in power does not last long. Congress quickly moves to impeach her, and she is arrested for treason along with other crimes connected to Vought.

By the end of the series, Ashley is still alive, but she is taken into custody and expected to spend the rest of her life in prison.
