Disney+’s ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians‘ has spent two seasons steadily building out its adaptation of Rick Riordan’s beloved book series, expanding its cast with each new chapter of Percy’s demigod adventures.

That expansion continued last summer when the show confirmed two major new additions for its upcoming third season, casting choices that finally got their proper visual reveal at this weekend’s D23 event after nearly a year of anticipation.

Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry, first announced for the roles back in August 2025, appeared on stage at D23 alongside the rest of the show’s cast, giving fans their first official images of Keen as Artemis and Chaudry as Zoë Nightshade. The two photos, shared alongside footage from the panel, show Keen dressed in a pale hooded cloak with a bow slung across her shoulder, while Chaudry appears in a fur-trimmed, armored ensemble befitting Nightshade’s role as an ancient warrior.

Season 3 adapts ‘The Titan’s Curse,’ the third book in Riordan’s original series, and centers on Percy, Grover, and their fellow campers at Camp Half-Blood racing to rescue Annabeth and the goddess Artemis herself from the Titan Atlas. According to Artemis’s official character description, she prefers the freedom of the outdoors to the politics and formality of Olympus, remaining regal and honorable even as her limited contact with mortals leaves her somewhat out of touch with modern human culture.

Chaudry’s Zoë Nightshade serves as Artemis’s loyal lieutenant and the first among her immortal Hunters, having stood at the goddess’s side for more than 2,000 years. Described as a strong warrior who can come across as overly serious in ways that amuse the demigods around her, Nightshade is set to become a crucial quest member throughout the season, willing to sacrifice for the greater good of the group.

Keen and Chaudry aren’t the only new additions joining Season 3’s expanding roster. Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie will play siblings Nico and Bianca di Angelo, while Hubert Smielecki takes on the role of Apollo and Kate McKinnon joins as Aphrodite. Ming-Na Wen also enters the cast as Hera, rounding out a lineup already featuring returning stars Walker Scobell as Percy, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover.

Both Keen and Chaudry bring plenty of experience working with Disney already. Keen previously played Laura/X-23 in ‘Logan’ before reprising the role in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ and also starred in the Disney+ ‘Star Wars’ series ‘The Acolyte.’ Chaudry, meanwhile, has appeared in Disney+ titles including ‘The Muppets Mayhem’ and ‘The Mysterious Benedict Society.’

Season 3 has been in production in Vancouver since receiving an unusually early renewal ahead of Season 2’s December premiere, a decision reportedly made to keep the young cast from aging out of their characters too quickly. With a new trailer now also confirmed to have debuted alongside these first-look images at D23, anticipation for the season continues building even as an official release date remains unannounced.

With both seasons one and two already streaming on Disney+, fans have plenty of time to catch up before Percy’s next quest arrives. Between the new cast reveals, the returning ensemble, and a fresh trailer to dissect, Season 3 already looks poised to be the show’s most ambitious chapter yet.
