Despite being one of the most anticipated MCU shows, ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ has been through quite the development hell. After filming more than half of the episodes the show was scrapped and delayed, taking on a new focus with some major reworks on the overall plot.

It was announced that a new creative team would sign their names on the upcoming MCU-based TV show. Dario Scardapane will act as a new showrunner for the series, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead announced as the co-directing team.

The original first season of the show was supposed to be 18 episodes long, but after plans to scrap the show were announced this episode count was significantly cut down. The studio announced its plans to retain certain scenes and episodes that are already filmed while introducing new serialized elements. Scoopers and leakers reported that the new show is supposed to be 9 episodes long, with the potential for part 2 depending on the show’s success and the general reception of the audience.

Then a few days ago, Deadline reported that ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ will be a two-season show, meaning that part 2 was greenlit ahead of season 1 release, potentially due to overwhelmingly positive reception of the upcoming show and the general interest of the fans.

Yesterday, filming for the show’s Part 1 officially wrapped as was confirmed by several sources and now industry insiders are confirming that Part 2 is scheduled to begin filming in November 2024.

This hectic filming schedule would potentially clash with the filming of ‘Spider-Man 4’ as Daredevil and Kingpin were rumored to be included in the movie as the next Spider-Man installment is heavily rumored to be a street-level story.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ will hit the screens sometime in 2025. Have something to add? Let us know in the comments below!
