'DC x Sonic the Hedgehog' #1 Preview: Prepare for a Lot of Running

Crossovers in superhero comics are a very popular way of crafting a story. While they’re not common, they are quite frequent and it is not a rare case that big-franchise characters crossover with characters from other franchises, as is the case in the story we are going to introduce here.

Ever imagined what a crossover between DC Comics’ biggest heroes and the world of Sonic the Hedgehog would look like? Well, the latest crossover comic, which is scheduled to be published on March 19, 2025, will reveal what it will look like!

Written by Ian Flynn, with art by Adam Bryce Thomas, DC x Sonic the Hedgehog #1 is going to bring a new story from both worlds, with Darkseid being the one to blame for the crossover (in-universe, at least). Here is what the official synopsis reveals about the story:

GOTTA. GO. FLASH-FAST. It’s a crossover event unlike any other! The monstrous Darkseid crosses dimensions to invade the world of Sonic the Hedgehog, seeking the ultimate power. Sonic and his friends have faced everything from mad scientists to ancient spirits, but the forces of Apokolips may be too much for them. Thankfully, the full heroic might of the Justice League arrives to back them up! Don’t miss part one of this unique crossover event!
